About The Program
The Briner Institute provides a unique educational experience that equips young people to be salt and light in entertainment. For post-grads who have been through a music business school, our program outlines a mission-based path into the entertainment industry, while equipping them for the cultural, and spiritual battles that inevitably lie ahead. For those who haven’t yet attended any entertainment business schools, a “Basics of the Biz” course is offered at our Summer Semester.
Our curriculum also includes topics such as:
- Salt & light principles applied in entertainment
- Life Skills
- Faith-based values
- Critical thinking
- Social skills/ communication
Our Fellowship program gives post-grads actual experience in implementing their degree, and pursuing their passions. This is provided in the form of our entertainment company. At this student-run company, Briner Fellows are equipped with practical skills, while gaining actual experience working with artists and bands.
Company functions include artist development, management, and production, as well as distinct artist services such as tour-support, street-team marketing, social-media planning, and publicity. Our staff of industry professionals will serve as mentors, and offer personal assessment of each Fellow, who are encouraged to try different areas that may interest them. As outside opportunities present themselves, Fellows are welcome to pursue them, allowing for regular additions to this student staff.
