Charlie Kirk Survey Follow Up

I want to give you a quick update: we had 20 responses to our survey “Was Charlie Kirk a Roaring Lamb?”.  If you somehow missed it last Friday, click here. Thus far, we have 20 responses out of about 300 names on our mailing list, which is about a 6% response—not bad.  But I would really like to hear from more of you!  I know you have opinions, and it would mean so much to our work if you could take a moment to fill out the Survey.  It’s super short!

I’ll give you a few of the comments that you might find helpful in forming your own thoughts:

Charlie was a Roaring Lamb:

· A deciding factor is whether Charlie impacted the college students he touched in such a way that they became Roaring Lambs, and I am certain he did.

·  His college events tackled the pressing issues of the day, and in every dialogue, he brought the salt and light of a biblical worldview.

Charlie was a Roaring Lamb in some ways, and was not in other ways:

· Definitely one of the good guys, but sometimes the delivery of the message matters as much as the message itself, and with his style needing to be what it was to do what he did, that could come across as harsh (though not wrong) at times.  

Charlie was not a Roaring Lamb:

· Kirk's style makes it harder for me to evangelize the people with whom I have worked -- the kinds of people Briner specifically wanted us to engage. I do not think his style of confrontation should be emulated.

· As I understand Briner’s vision, the roar was supposed to come from the life you build, not the fight you pick.

These are all heart felt comments and responses, and I value them very much!  As you review these comments, perhaps there is something else you would like to add.  You can do that by simply clicking on the survey and adding your thoughts, however long or short.  Thanks again for taking the time to do this and, without identifying anyone, I want to use some of these comments in future Briner Workshops to sharpen our focus on our work.
