The 2019 Design Workshop, sponsored by the Briner Institute and the George Shinn College of Entertainment and the Arts at Lipscomb University, was a creative group of industry professionals, all passionate about influencing culture for Christ. Leaders and visionaries from a range of backgrounds were in attendance, including from film, publishing, music, journalism, policy, advocacy and clergy among others. Participants discussed the nature of think tanks and philanthropy, media and education, and the power of storytelling. Collectively—in light of various faith traditions and differences—industry leaders united over a shared vision: encouraging Christian professionals to live out Matthew 5:13-14 as Salt and Light and to be Roaring Lambs in their vocational calling.
